UK/EU Shipping Update
over 1 year ago – Wed, Dec 21, 2022 at 07:25:15 PM

The books are almost to the UK warehouse; it sounds like they have cleared customs, although behind the original estimate of December 15th. We've received this timeline estimate from the warehouse in the UK:

"...the books are expected to arrive [at the warehouse] imminently, although I don’t have a confirmed date yet as Christmas freight is always a bit finicky. .. I would expect address verifications Emails to be sent to backers on Friday 30th of [December], then provided we are in receipt of payment I would imagine that dispatch will begin first week of January. All a little reliant on delivery dates, but I think this is pretty accurate timeline."

Shipping Update
over 1 year ago – Wed, Dec 21, 2022 at 02:48:31 PM

Although we don't have confirmation, we believe the UK and EU books have cleared customs and may even be in the warehouse. We will update as soon as we hear definite confirmation that they have arrived.

For the USA orders, we have been in contact with the warehouse, and things are moving forward. Other than a list of 100 or so orders which had glitches, all the packages have shipped from the warehouse. They didn't ship at the same time; many shipped soon after the labels were printed, but some were not shipped until around December 9th. Many of this second wave will still be in transit.

Although some of the packages mailed in the first wave were poorly packaged, this seems not to have been the majority; the rate of damaged books is actually within the range of normal expectations. The packaging has been improved and the box size changed for those orders shipped in December.

We're finally starting to feel like the difficulties involved with shipping are down to a manageable level, although there's still a lot to do: the warehouse is working on the orders we identified as probably not shipped, and we also have 139 people who haven't yet paid for shipping (so if you haven't received an email about shipping, please check this). But we're now at the point where we can focus on the individual glitches without having those obscured by systemic issues.

Thanks!

Shipping Update for Europe/UK
over 1 year ago – Fri, Dec 09, 2022 at 10:27:34 PM

For UK/EU backers: the books are expected to arrive at the UK warehouse on or around December 15th. This information is to give everyone a general idea of the schedule; since these are moving from a ship to a warehouse, it is still only an approximate estimate.

Moving the Pupper to Texas
over 1 year ago – Fri, Dec 02, 2022 at 11:44:04 PM

Suzy and I are going to be doing the second phase of moving from now until about December 5th, so until then our response time will be slow to nonexistent -- this is the phase where Bruno the dog gets to go on the longest car ride ever. During that time, the best way to contact us with shipping issues is via a message on Kickstarter, because having those contacts all in one place makes it easier for me to keep track when making lists. I will go through all the messages when I return on or about the 5th. I still don't have a firm answer from the warehouse that all the books have shipped -- if I hear back from them today I will post an update, otherwise it may take a few days before the next update.

USA Shipping, Part 2
over 1 year ago – Fri, Dec 02, 2022 at 03:46:15 AM

(No updates yet on Europe). We have gotten in touch with the warehouse, Greater than Games, to find out about the (USA) orders that received notification that the shipping label was printed but received no further updates to the tracking information. So far we don't have an answer, because we have a new sales rep to whom the question has been punted. Brief history: we started with a very good rep, who got promoted, so we were assigned a second sales rep, who left the company, back to the first one (who is very good but since she's been promoted to a different group isn't in direct touch with the warehouse) and now to their Hobby Program Manager (who is in direct touch with the shipping people).  The collective reps as of this morning were under the impression that all the books had shipped, and they are going to be checking that. The quote is: "...should have left our facility, already, and I have contacted our warehouse team to confirm."  It's possible, since the media mail program isn't as good with tracking as other postage classes, that the post office simply didn't log the next steps in the process on lots of the packages. HOWEVER, even the slow speed of media mail doesn't explain why these orders also don't seem to be arriving -- mine, as one example. This is a long way of saying that the process of finding out the status has begun, but that we don't have any answers yet. We will keep everyone posted once we get concrete information.
